The Meat & Wine Co restaurant forms part of a vibrant and passionate international team. Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The Meat & Wine Co has a unique atmosphere and ambience which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings

​Responsibilities:

  • Effective management of daily restaurant operations, whilst upholding and ensuring consistent restaurant standards are met
  • Natural leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
  • Proven ability to work in high pressure environments with strong decision-making skills and work with a sense of urgency
  • High level of communication skills – ability to deliver quality customer service to employees, customers and external guests
  • Understanding of financials and budget control – including labour control, stock management, wastage and cost of goods
  • Ability to drive exceptional customer service with a high level of attention to detail 
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in all operations of the business whilst observing our company culture and values

You will have:

  • At least 2 + years'  supervisory experience in a similar role within the hospitality/restaurant industry
  • Experience in maintaining budgets and an understanding of financials, profit & loss and working in line with company objectives and KPI's
  • The ability to work a rotating 7- day roster including weekends and public holidays
  • Exceptional communication skills with employees, customers and clients.
  • Qualification in hospitality would be an advantage for this role

You will also receive on the job training within each department and further training in management to ensure complete knowledge of the restaurant operations.
