Located at the gateway to the Great Ocean Road, this beautiful resort is right opposite the beach at Zeally Bay and offers panoramic ocean views. Our restaurant is currently looking for a full time Cook to join the team.
  
The Position
 
You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the kitchen, preparing food, cleaning and ordering of stock, ensuring food safety regulations are adhered to whilst delivering fantastic customer service. Reporting to the General Manager this role offers the successful candidate a great opportunity to manage their own kitchen and gives an up and coming chef the opportunity to be creative and learn in a friendly and caring environment. 

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a kitchen as a Cook
• Experience using a deep fryer, gas pizza oven preferred but not essential
• Superior customer service and passion for producing and delivering quality food
• Effective organisational and problem solving skills
• Principles of food safety and hygiene of food preparation 
• Thorough understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principle
•  Understanding of daily operations of the kitchen (including breakfast, lunch & dinner service)
• Understanding of ordering, stock control and waste management
• Understanding of costing and budget management
• High level of personal grooming and presentation standards
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, school and public holiday periods
