Due to continued growth & success, we recently announced the opening of our brand new 151 bed facility, Opal Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast.

About the General Services Role:

This role is based in Sunshine Coast, QLD and we currently have part time and casual opportunities available.

Our General Services Officers work across our catering, cleaning & laundry departments and this role offers variety and challenge. If you enjoy working in a busy and fast paced environment, this is a role for you.

About Opal Kawana Waters:

Situated alongside the new Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, this flagship facility comes with state-of-the-art Memory Support Units to assist residents living with Dementia, along with a Registered Nursing led model of care.

The successful candidates will possess:

Good communication and organisational skills
MUST be prepared to work in cleaning, kitchen and laundry departments.
Good knowledge of the food and hospitality industry
A certificate in food safety would be highly regarded
Barista skills would be highly regarded
Previous experience in a commercial cleaning or a busy kitchen role
Empathy with the needs of the frail aged (dementia care included)
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ideally you will have experience working in Aged Care or a hospital environment
