ASSISTANT MANAGER (2IC) - ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an energetic passionate Assistant Manager (2IC) to lead the management team in all aspects of operational service standards of our venue.
About the role:
The role of the Assistant Manager (2IC) is to lead and co-ordinate all aspects of venue management and to support the managers and the team to deliver the venue experience to customers whilst meeting business objectives.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leader of a dynamic and motivated team of bar and restaurant staff and volunteers
- Deliver all HR requirements including Rostering, training and coaching of staff and volunteers
- Oversee all operational requirements of the business in conjunction with bar and venue supervisors, including marketing, maintenance and cash management
- Manage and deliver on financial objectives and report on these to the GM.
- Create and instil a culture of superior service from staff leaving the customer 'wanting more'.
- Help drive functions and events.
- Opportunity to act in a GM capacity when they are rostered off
About you:
As a self-motivated, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Management capacity within the bar or restaurant operation.
- First hand volunteering experience or experience with working with teams of volunteers would be looked on favourably.
- Excellent operational skills
- Exceptional food and wine knowledge
- Ability to share your knowledge, manage and motivate staff and volunteers
- Immaculate presentation paralleled with the service delivery
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Professional and driven
- Strong team player
This is role is based in the Inner West with access to various public transport options.
