We are looking for a hard-working, motivated and vibrant Head Chef to lead our Back of House team at our Southland TGI Fridays location! We are seeking an individual who has the passion for producing great quality food and has the ability to manage Back of House operations and an entire kitchen team. You will need to be able to motivate and lead your team on a daily basis to deliver outstanding food and guest experiences.
This senior kitchen position will be responsible for all facets of Back of House including leading and developing a committed kitchen team, delivering food and service to Fridays standards, adhering to Australian legal requirements, and making a valued contribution to overall business performance.
As a Head Chef you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage all areas of kitchen operations and Back of House staff
- Recruitment, training and development of kitchen staff
- HR Planning to ensure shifts are staffed effectively
- Identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs
- Maintain a high standard of food quality, kitchen cleanliness and overall organisation
- Perform food inspections and have a strong knowledge of Food Safety and OH&S procedures
- Order, receive products and process invoices
- Hold periodic cook-offs and food quality demonstrations
- Supervise approximately 10 - 20 Sous Chefs, Commis Chefs and Kitchen Hands per shift
Ideally you will be:
A culinary professional with demonstrated kitchen experience preferably within a high volume restaurant environment. You will have proven supervisory experience and ideally hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
