Customs House
The historic Customs House located on the river at 399 Queen Street in Brisbane’s CBD is a UQ’s premier downtown restaurant, function and cultural facility. Customs House operates The Daily Coffee Co. at The University of Queensland’s Brisbane City Campus at 293 Queen Street. Customs House also provides outside catering in the CBD. The Restaurant provides inside dining in heritage surroundings as well as outside dining overlooking the river and the Story Bridge. The Clients include high profile university, government and corporate clients as well as private clients and visitors to Brisbane.
The role
In the role of Commis Chef you will assist the kitchen team in the production of restaurant and function food as directed by the Executive Chef while maintaining the high culinary standards of Customs House. Customs House is a 7 day a week operation but is closed on Public Holidays.
The person
The successful applicant will need to be a permanent Australian Resident or have a Visa with long term current work rights in Australia. The person needs to maintain a high level of culinary service, have a positive attitude and be a dedicated, professional team member with commitment and motivation. Three year's experience in a similar role is essential.

Remuneration
This is a full time, 23 month fixed-term appointment, as a Cook Grade 3. The remuneration package is $53, 567.32 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package is $58,656.21 p.a.).
