A world-class hotel featuring 172 rooms, a dedicated Mezzanine Level with multi-functional meeting and conference space, versatile restaurant, lobby bar and rooftop pool bar venues.

We are currently looking for full time experienced, passionate and professional Bar Team Leader who can lead our team and deliver excellent service to our guests.

The Bar Team Leader will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks:

  • Effective management of Bar casual staff ensuring quality of product, service & overall performance
  • Effective communication with front of house and back of house management and staff
  • Good knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits - Creative flair for developing new and exciting cocktails!
  • Be present on the floor for the majority of rostered shift assessing service standards and associating requirements and coordinating the movement of manpower between areas as dictated by business level.
  • Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests
  • Set up systems to protect and maintain control of bar and restaurant service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry out regular stock takes
  • Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies
  • Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary and cash up being completed to balance the shifts activities
  • Coach and mentor Food & Beverage Attendants within the outlets
  • Ensure the outlets and equipment are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume

To be successful you will need:

  • Supervisory experience within Food & Beverage is favourable
  • Strong wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is essential
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests
  • Passionate about delivering 5-star service to guests
  • Flexibility in working variable shifts over 7 days, including weekends and Public Holidays
