About the business

"I & C Family Pty Ltd" has recently taken over "The Charcoal BBQ House" Restaurant to provide fresh Korean foods to local customers in and around Southern Brisbane area, QLD. The company is seeking new staffs who are self-motivated, organised and passionate.

About the role

Chef/Cook

• Develop and plan menus
• Supervise the activities of kitchen
• Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager
• Check food to ensure its quality
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Prepare food for cooking
• Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming)
• Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented
• Clean food preparation areas and equipment
• Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Receive and store supplies
• Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
• Give directions to other kitchen staffs
• Train and supervise other kitchen staffs

Skills and experience

Chef/Cook

• Demonstrated at least 3 year work experience in a similar role within the food industry
• Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen
• Qualification/s in hospitality (commercial cookery) or related discipline
• Excellent cooking skills and unique recipes in Korean cuisines
• Permanent resident or Australian citizen (stable residency condition)
