Southern Cross Care QLD is a not-for-profit provider of quality aged care, disability care and independent living in South East Queensland. We are looking for Kitchen Hands who are able to provide the highest standard in meal preparation for our residents. You will embody our values to meet our mission to support people in their choice of health, wellbeing and lifestyle, and our vision to value and respect human life.
We are currently recruiting for Casual Kitchen hands at Residential Aged Care facility based at Murgon. Variety of shifts across a 14 day roster
More about you:
- You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide high quality meals
- Attention to detail and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Experience in Aged Care environment (desired but not essential).
- Must be flexible with start time and days (including weekend). Also be able to work on-call shifts at late notice
- Shift start times can be any of the following 6:30am to 1pm, 7am to Midday, 7am to 1pm, 9am to 1pm & 3pm to 7pm – Must be able to work all listed shift times
- Good knowledge of food safety (preferable HACCP).
- A current Police Check Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively
