The [A] team is now seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our Major Events team in the delivery of internationally renowned major events such as the Formula 1 ® Australian Grand Prix and Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The OPPORTUNITY:
This position is the focal point of direction, support and communication for our Major Event clients, internal team members and external stakeholders. Any day will include but not limited to:
- Execution of world class major events from conception to delivery;
- Adding creative value to event packages and concepts to ensure our reputation for out of the box thinking is well founded and continues to set new standards in presentation;
- Provide support, guidance and encouragement to your team with a lead by example style.
The EXPERTISE | PROFILE:
- Ideally, you will have Major Event experience or 5 year's experience as an Event Manager gained within an external catering environment in food and beverage operations with direct involvement from conception of event to invoice;
- You have a deep knowledge of customer expectations and you currently work in Major Events or with a volume driven company with multiple and versatile spaces;
- Seeking to align yourself with a business that will both embrace and challenge you to be the best of the best, you are an effective negotiator and influencer and build trust and positive relationships with your clients and colleagues;
- You have superior communication skills and can manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment;
- You are administratively strong and embrace your day with a sense energy and positive buzz that your colleagues feed off;
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and apply good judgement, whilst demonstrating exceptional organisational skills.
