Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five star luxury hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and energetic casual Cook and Kitchen Steward to join our team.

 The successful person will be responsible for:

• Following instructions provided by the senior chef’s and produce items for the designated kitchen
• Take an active role with food preparation ensuring that recipes, tests and presentation of dishes are delivered to standard
• Assist in filling out requisitions of dry store and fridge items required on a daily basis
• Ensure kitchen hygiene standards are maintained
• Other kitchen duties as required 

Stamford Plaza Melbourne are looking for a person who has:

• have previous experience in a busy kitchen
• be able to deliver a quality product consistently
• be flexible to work on a rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays)
• possess effective communication skills
• keen to learn, hard working, efficient and uses initiative
• be organised, innovative and committed to the kitchen with a passion for cooking
• work to the prescribed health and safety standards of the hotel
