Flights Specialist

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours is an international leading luxury tour operator. We are proudly 100% Australian owned and provide fully escorted touring programs throughout Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, South America and many other locations. Based in Newcastle, an exciting full time opportunity has arisen to join our Customer Service Centre, working in our specialist flights team.
Working within our Customer Service team in Newcastle, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- To use flight knowledge to assist customer service consultants secure bookings.
- Internal reservations queried involving flights / ticketing issues.
- Monitor Reservations flight bookings.
- Calculating airfares / surcharges.
- Management of flights bookings on Galileo queues.
- Participate in both one on one and group training sessions.
The successful candidate will need:
- A minimum of 2 years Travel Agency Experience.
- Sound industry knowledge with previous flights booking experience.
- A solid knowledge of GDS software use. (Galileo / Travelport preferred)
- Experience in working with IATA Fares and the ability to construct complex fares worldwide itineraries.
- Galileo fares & ticketing experience an advantage.
- An ability to work within a team based environment and a positive work ethic.
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
