This Waterside landmark venue - has long been a destination to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine while soaking up the sea breeze. With big plans for a future renovation and change of a creative Head Chef, this venue is going to aim to be a top city location and enjoy hat quality cuisine.
THE ROLE:
As head chef you will be required to be passionate, creative and energetic and be able to motivate a team of solid industry professionals - most having experience in hatted restaurants. Working in collaboration with the Director of Culinary and the owners to take the venue to the standard that the beautiful venue deserves and the hospitality group is known for. The Menu is a Modern Australian/Seafood based offering so a passion and flair for seafood will be a huge asset!
YOU:
- At least 5 years as a Head Chef or Snr Sous in Fine Dining, Michelin or Hat Venues
- A passion for Modern Australian cuisine and a knowledge of current trends with a want to be ahead of them
- Energetic and enthusiastic team player - Understand that having fun while working in the kitchen is important
- Creative flair is non-negotiable
- Have fantastic knowledge of local sustainable produce and the Australian Seafood Varietals
- Financial knowledge, stock control and rostering experience.
- Most of all - understanding vision and potential with a want to take the venue's food to next level and the ability to gain a hat status.
