About the Venue
At Burnham Bakery, we strive to marry the best traditional techniques with cutting-edge innovation, to achieve both optimum nutrition and premium taste.
Set amid the lush green pastures or Burnham Beeches, located in Melbourne's outer east (45 minutes from Melbourne).  Burnham Bakery creates true artisan bread using biodynamic and sustainable practices.
  
We nurture our sourdough culture in-house and enhance the flavour with organic produce from our on-site gardens to produce a low-gluten, highly-satisfying, traditional loaf. In addition to the conventional bread – white, rye, grain and wholemeal – we also use Emmer, Spelt and Heirloom wheat varietals that were cultivated before industrialisation.
Our produce is delivered across our Vue Group venues which include Vue de monde & Jardin Tan as well as Melbourne's leading cafes and restaurants.
  
The Role
As a Baker you will need to possess the following: 

• Strong skills in the production of pastries, bread and other baked goods preferred
• A work ethic with a focus on continual self-improvement
• Ability to perform at a high level under pressure
• Creative drive and a genuine interest in food history and trends
• Willingness to constantly learn and be inspired
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster with night shift requirements
• Demonstrated passion for sustainable produce
