Mt Carmel Residential - Rosewater
Full-Time Position

 

As a qualified Chef you will be responsible for the management, leadership and organisation of the catering operations within Mt Carmel to deliver a service based on excellent outcomes in quality and cost effectiveness.

Outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential to provide quality results and support within the kitchen. You’ll have initiative and self motivation to lead and work with a committed Hotel Services Team.

Reporting directly to the Residential Services Manager, this position requires the successful applicant to have previous experience managing larger kitchens as well as developing creative quality menus within budgeted costs in a health care environment. You’ll provide strong leadership to staff to ensure a work culture that embeds individual performance, accountability and respectful working relationships with others.

Each day you’ll ensure we meet safety, quality and hygiene standards. You will also be responsible for effective leadership and management of the catering, housekeeping and laundry functions that meets residents’ needs, complies with Food Safety regulations, Accreditation and HACCP standards.

A relevant trade certificate or course in cookery or equivalent industry experience is crucial to this role. Experience in and ability to oversee the range of hotel services functions will be highly regarded.
