Located in the heart of the ‘Most liveable city in the world’ is our wonderful hotel, Tall Trees Canberra and we’re looking for an FOM with Character!
You will know if you are the right person for this role if you find yourself thanking the sales assistant that 
Liz Lemon (30 Rock) could motivate her writers, keep her viewers feeling loved and satisfied all whist putting out spot fires created by her high maintenance actors …. This is pretty similar to the juggling act required for this role. As our prized Front Office Manager you need to be able to turn the beige into the colourful, handle the random spot fires that can occur on your shift, and keep your team motivated all whilst being the ultimate people person, making every single guest feel that they are ONLY important thing in your day

The Front Office Manager is someone who takes responsibility for ensuring our guests get the most amazing experience when staying at our hotel.  Supporting the GM, they are able to manage, motivate and drive our front office team to be the best it can be. You also understand and want to learn more about the technical detail involved in the department like cost management and upselling for additional revenue.
 
About YOU:

• You are Passionate about Making People Happy!
• You LOVE to TALK and can do so clearly ensuring everyone gets it, no matter who the audience is;
• You have used a Property Management System such as Brilliant/Opera/FOLS and you’re PRETTY GOOD using them;
• You’re better in a TEAM than when you are on your own;
• You get a kick out of ensuring your students become Jedi Masters;
• They say “if you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen”. But you love the heat and thrive in the middle of it; and
• Most importantly, we need you to have previous experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor within a hotel. We would love to hear from any AM’s who are looking to step up.
