The Surf Club Coolangatta is a multi-award award-winning club situated right on the famous Coolangatta beach.

Our food is our trademark and we love to continually improve our offering to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

 Our main dining area the Seabreeze Restaurant can cater for up to 280 people, we also have function facilities that can seat up to 200 and a cafe serving cakes, slices light meals and the usual hot and cold beverages.

We have an awesome  team of professionals lead by our award winning head chef of 12 years .Right now we have a great opportunity for a qualified Chef to join us. 

We have just started Sunday breakfast and are soon to introduce Saturday breakfast as well. we envisage that the other days in the week can be used to get quality prep done and stay on for lunch service. Some night shifts are available so we can share the shifts around with our team.

To be successful in this role

You must;

  • Have the relevant qualifications (2 years minimum post apprenticeship experience)
  • Have an energetic and motivated personality, along with the ability to multi-task & be highly organised and efficient
  • Possess the ability to remain calm and work under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Have an extremely high level of care with the food you produce
  • Operate with a keen eye for detail
  • Be able to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Display strong discipline with following standard recipes, portion sizes and procedures within specified time limits
  • Be a great team player
  • Maintain kitchen to Health and Safety Food Hygiene Legislation

This is a casual position with the definite ability to grow to fulltime for the right candidate.
