Campus Life within Macquarie University is seeking an experienced Chef to join the team in our Licenced A ’La Carte, Staff Café in North Ryde.
About the Role
The Staff Café is exclusive to staff and the only fully licensed a la carte restaurant on campus. Working with the Head Chef and our talented team, you will be responsible for kitchen related tasks including food prep for service periods and functions.
Casual shifts will be Monday through Friday leading up to and including lunch service, but you will need be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the business needs.
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of two years’ restaurant or cafe experience
- Trade qualification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A thorough understanding of food Safety regulations
- Passion for excellence in customer service with a strong eye for detail
- Impeccable presentation and hygiene
