What is TourRadar?

We are looking for native English speakers to join our Brisbane office as part of the global, multinational team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, customer service & sales focused, enjoy challenging work and can handle high volumes of enquiries!

As Customer Support, you must be able to work independently and enjoy working in a fast-paced team atmosphere. Self-motivation is an asset. You will have the chance to bring forth all your travel related experiences to help shape TourRadar as the best place to review and book multi-day tours. The work will be challenging because the industry we work in is continuously evolving and we are pioneering many new innovations. 

What can you expect?

All our bookings occur online, so you will be responsible for chatting with customers via instant messenger, email or by telephone who have either found a specific tour on TourRadar.com or are undecided between a number of options. You will be tasked with making sure the customer's questions are answered promptly and accurately so that they are happy to book with us, then assisting travellers throughout the booking process.

When you can't find the answers you will need to think fast and be resourceful to craft the right response. Naturally, you will also have to deal with customer issues and handle booking cancellations, changes, etc. Finally, being able to close the sale is key to the success of this position (note: all enquiries are inbound as we don't do cold calling).

To apply for this role, you must have travelled outside of Australia for collectively 8 weeks over the past 8 years or have lived abroad for more than 3 months. Preferably you would have experienced a multi-day tour or two as well :) If you already work in the tour industry or have worked previously in the industry and have a passion for multi day tours, please apply!!

Who you are:

  • You have at least 1-2 years of experience in customer care/support and strong sales background/records
  • Preference shown to sales professionals, customer service agents or former tour guides
  • You have exceptional grammar and communication skills (English)
  • You are tech savvy (Experience using Mac, familiar with online booking tools and can operate with several tools at the same time)
  • You have multitasking abilities and capable of handling high volumes of inquiries
  • Exceptional time and priority management
  • You are passionate about providing mind-blowing customer service and going that extra mile for our customers
  • You are sales driven with the ability to sell via phone
  • You are open-minded, love challenges, enthusiastic to learn and interested in traveling
  • You can handle customer complaints and resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner
  • You don´t know the meaning of “I can’t find the answer”
