About the role
Experienced Junior Sous Chef with experience in leading a team in a busy venue
What you would be doing
The main things that you would be doing include:
- Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
- Stock ordering and control
- Leading and motivating the team in the absence of the sous chef
- Taking responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen, but especially in the areas of staff training, implementation of procedures and stock control
- Menu planning with the Executive Chef
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Experience in a similar role
- Creative, and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure

Two Chaps is a from-scratch cafe and bakery with an ethical, sustainable approach to all aspects of its operation. We use high quality locally sourced produce to make our creative menu. Our cafe is open six days a week, and for two nights, we keep our doors open for our ever changing dinner menu of handmade fresh pasta and local cheeses.
