An opening for an experienced chef has become available at The Flying Fig Deli.
We're a breakfast/brunch restaurant operating 6 days a week. There is no night work and the kitchen closes at 2.30 pm. What a lifestyle!
The concept is very unique to Adelaide as we believe we are the only Jewish deli. In the words of many a customer it is a very different and exciting menu which makes for a very exciting kitchen.
We aim to make most things in house and do our own pickling, curing, smoking and even soft drinks.
We are seeking passion, passion, passion.
The successful applicant will be part of a small team, be of strong character and assist the head chef in the day to day running of the kitchen. This will include prep work, preparing dishes and generally maintaining a clean environment. We also firmly believe in encouraging creativity and participation.
You must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar environment and have a flair for presentation and be conscious of cleanliness. Qualifications from a culinary school certainly an advantage.
You must be available to work weekends. Will consider full time for the right applicant. What an opportunity. Gigs like this where there is only day work rarely comes around. Don't miss out.
