The role:
- Leading the kitchen team in a hands-on manner, ensuring consistent food quality
- Designing, costing and implementing innovative menus
- Ordering & Stock Control
- Maintaining food and wage costs in line with budgets
- Maintaining current knowledge on food trends and competitors
- Setting, implementing and reviewing service standards to exceed guest’s expectations
- Maintaining safety & hygiene standards of the kitchen
- Employee recruitment, training, and development.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in a similar role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a premium Sydney venue would be favourable.
- Unparallel passion for food and service and continued drive to achieve excellence.
- Strong financial acumen with previous experience managing COGS/ payroll and sound understanding of operational systems.
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude and ability to thrive under pressure
- Ability to build and motivate teams, establish, and nurture a positive culture
- Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
