The role:

  • Leading the kitchen team in a hands-on manner, ensuring consistent food quality
  • Designing, costing and implementing innovative menus
  • Ordering & Stock Control
  • Maintaining food and wage costs in line with budgets
  • Maintaining current knowledge on food trends and competitors
  • Setting, implementing and reviewing service standards to exceed guest’s expectations
  • Maintaining safety & hygiene standards of the kitchen
  • Employee recruitment, training, and development.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a similar role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a premium Sydney venue would be favourable.
  • Unparallel passion for food and service and continued drive to achieve excellence.
  • Strong financial acumen with previous experience managing COGS/ payroll and sound understanding of operational systems.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Ability to build and motivate teams, establish, and nurture a positive culture
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
