Chef required for busy established café in trendy Nth Melbourne:
Must be available weekdays and weekends
We pride ourselves on the creations served from our kitchen, and are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to become a part of our team. Reporting directly to the owner our ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy restaurant environment and must be capable of multi-tasking, working autonomously and as part of a close knit team
You must be reliable, hardworking, well organised and a great team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a consistent high standard of food preparation and presentation.
Plan seasonal menus as well as daily specials
Hands on management of all kitchen activities including food prep and cooking breakfasts, lunches and occasional functions.
Experience in staff management, training and planning
Full knowledge of OH&S and food safety procedures
Excellent time management skills
Responsible for food ordering, storage and keeping costs and wastage under control.
