Sous Chef

 

Spring Valley Golf Club is a prestigious private member's golf club in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual who has a passion for food creation, excellent communication skills and an ability to be part of a small but dedicated team.

The qualified candidate will be a hard working, motivated and organised chef with at least 3 years experience in a la carte service.  The position offers fantastic working conditions, a varied role and the opportunity to become part of an enthusiastic team.  We are open for breakfast, a la carte lunch and afternoon snacks 7 days a week.  We also cater for corporate days, corporate conferencing and some dinner functions.

The position is full-time working 5 days over a flexible 7 day weekly roster dependent on the needs of the business. Whilst there will be weekend work and occasional evening work, your week will mainly consist of daytime hours.  

Duties include food preparation, food service as well as some cleaning and dishwashing.  The sous chef role will include menu design, ordering of stock, management of the kitchen in head chefs absence.
