Leading Our Team

Doltone House is seeking an inspirational leader in the role of Head of Events. Must have proven success in event management within the Hospitality and Events industry. The ideal candidate will have great leadership skills, excellent customer service skills, with an exceptional eye for detail and be solution oriented with all things events.

You will be responsible for overseeing the team responsible for coordinating events from post-sale right through to the actual event planning detail such as working on run sheets, menu consultation, logistics, site inspections, liaising with relevant departments, identifying up-sell opportunities and liaising with suppliers to name a few.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage & Mentor the Events Team and the allocation of events to individuals in the team
  • Develop and foster winning relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Align team activity to ensure 110% customer satisfaction and repeat business 
  • Manage the quality of event coordination with events team and event management processes
  • Be solution oriented for event success
  • Ensure team maximises use of our CRM and systems and information is accurate
  • Generate reports ensuring financial accuracy for all events
  • Ensure events team invoices timely delivered, correct and payments collected
  • Liaise with Head of Sales, Executive Chefs, Finance Manager and Venue Operations Managers  for all event related information

Ideally you will have:

  • Five to ten years total experience in hospitality/events/MICE industry with relevant experience managing a medium sized team
  • Advanced CRM experience in systems such as Ungerboeck
  • Detailed knowledge of event order compilation, invoicing, resource tracking, contact updates, client communication and event file close off including any systems
  • Highly developed client relations, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and personal presentation 
  • Intermediate knowledge using MS Office application
