The Star Hotel Group is the largest independant hotel company in QLD. We are preparing to open our Kitchen in August and need talented Chefs on board to be ready for this.

The newly renovated RAILWAY HOTEL is currently seeking experienced Chefs / Cooks and Kitchen team members to join our team. This is your opportunity to join this established hotel group that is on the move.

SOUS CHEF: 

We need Chefs/Cooks who like to be creative, but also knows how to pump out the simple stuff that our patrons want.  We say simple stuff, but we aim to be the best at everything we do - so our simple stuff still requires talent.

As the ideal candidate for this roll you will possess the following attributes and more:

  • Leadership skills

  • Relevant formal qualifications

  • Experience in a similar roll

  • Food safety supervisor certificate

  • Great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to take direction and follow leadership

  • A good understanding of kitchen operations and procedures including HACCP

  • Focus and organisation

  • The ability to implement and adhere to policy and procedures

  • Professional approach to the position

  • A passion for the industry and culinary flair

  • Own transport

  • Reliable and presentable

Reporting to the Head Chef and Venue Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the kitchen. You will be responsible for the operation of service, ensuring that all food is served to the standard set by the chef and company - and most importantly, you'll be responsible for creating a culture of excitement, excellence and innovation in your kitchen.

QUALIFIED CHEF:

As above.  We need Qualified Chefs/Cooks who like to focus on eye for detail and make sure that every dish served - is at its best.

KITCHEN TEAM: 

Casual kitchen team members are required to assist the team with the day to day operation of the busy kitchen.
