Campbelltown Catholic Club is the premier entertainment and leisure destination in South Western Sydney and is one of the largest Clubs in NSW with a membership of around 55,000. This multi award-winning club has diverse businesses delivering services in gaming, food & beverage, fitness & leisure, hotel accommodation, conferencing and exhibitions, entertainment and golf.

The club are seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Training & Development Officer to join their Human Resource team at Campbelltown Catholic Club, in a permanent/part time position working 3 days a week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
 

Reporting directly to the General Manager - People & Culture, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of operational and developmental training of staff across the organisation.  A strong understanding of and experience in a hospitality environment would be preferable but not essential. The company boasts a large workforce of over 360.   
 

The successful candidate will come with experience in Training preferably in a hospitality environment.  Essential skills required for this role include strong leadership qualities, ability to build collaborative relationships and be competent in the administration and delivery of training programs along with a strong customer service focus. 
 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement in consultation with managers high quality training programs to meet organisational, department and staff needs. 
  • Facilitate and monitor training programs for staff across the organisation
  • Analyse training skill gaps at individual area level and report to managers
  • Provide constructive feedback to staff, supervisors and managers to ensure that the training & development provided reaches standards
  • Build organisational training structure that supports organisational & legislative requirements
  • Assess and update training documentation on regular basis
  • Identify and implement training efficiencies across the business including the use of new technology    
  • Maintain training records of staff
  • Liaise with all internal stakeholders to identify competent trainers
  • Liaise with external training providers and educational institutions to identify appropriate external training solutions
  • Run train the trainer workshops with operational staff 
  • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of training activities. 
  • Coordinate online training programs
  • Facilitate any external including First Aid training 
  • Assist in the Induction process
  • Manage the on boarding and orientation of staff process
  • Coordinate the Cadetship Program
  • Manage the White Ribbon training across the organisation
  • Assist in the Probation process
  • Any other duties required by Management

The following criteria would be highly regarded:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) (TAE) 
  • Training experience 
  • Hospitality experience

This position will suit applicants who are looking for a diverse role in which they can utilise their strong training skills, hospitality experience and administration ability. Ideally the successful person will commence in the role in mid to end of August with a strong hand over and training to be expected.
