We are looking for a qualified / experienced short order cook / chef to join our team for 5 shifts a week (Tues to Sat).

Our cafe, Rosalie Market Cafe, offers cooked breakfasts and lunches 6 days a week from Mon to Sat from 6.30am - 2pm.  The working hours would be based around this (including time at the end of the shift to assist in the clean up of the kitchen).

Our cafe uses the best in seasonal produce in our menu, including a wide variety of gourmet foods from our deli, Rosalie Gourmet Market.

The successful applicant must be able to work Saturdays and will have a minimum two years experience as a short order cook.  You will need to understands costing & menu planning and be able to work cohesively alongside other team members that are also using our commercial kitchen.  Chef qualifications are highly desirable though not essential.

In addition to short order cooking, you will be responsible for ensuring the cabinet food is prepared.  Catering is an important part of our business and you will also be required to assist in the preparation of catering orders including canapes & platters.

The successful candidate will:

* be reliable, punctual, neatly presented

* be able to work unsupervised and is able to lead a busy team on Saturdays

* be organized, neat, clean, tidy

* have Australian working rights

The cafe is not open on public holidays and the kitchen tends to close for 1-2 weeks over the Christmas break.
