About the position
An opportunity exits at Uniting AgeWell Strathaven for a Chef to contribute to quality care and services for residents through the provision of a high standard of food / catering services.
The ideal person will have experience working in food services in residential services or a disability environment.
The candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills, and proven experience in relating to a diverse range of people.
Chef qualifications or a Trade Cook certificate and Food Handling certificate are essential, as is experience in menu planning and the management of food services staff. A knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, OH&S and the Food Service Act is required.

About the role
To ensure that menus are planned in consultation with residents which meets their dietary, individual and cultural needs.
To ensure menus are approved by a dietician and regularly reviewed where necessary in conjunction with the Hotel Services Coordinator and Manager Integrated Services/Residential Services Manager.
To ensure that food services are delivered in accordance with resident choices
