The Walkabout Hotel is Port Hedlands best entertainment centre, featuring a public bar, TAB, mini golf, indoor children's playcentre, function centre and large restaurant/bistro. 

We are seeking an energetic person to take on the role of Restaurant Manager. 

You will

• Be involved in every element of running the restaurant
• Recruit your own team of restaurant professionals and help to develop and grow your team
• Report directly to the General Manager
• Be available 7 days per week on a roster

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Be a great host, the guest experience at the heart of our operations. This means not only laying the stage for a dining experience that is energetic, upbeat and engaging but also creating one that connects with our regular guests, so we become their home away from home
• Demonstrated leadership skills that focus on team and creating a superior guest experience
• You will also be a leader that is calm under pressure and who can execute a service that is professional, engaging and knowledgeable 
• Have a flexible and accommodating attitude – nothing is a problem
• Have proven experience of meeting KPI's and managing teams to a budget
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the Port Hedland market and guests
• Have great organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Have a good working knowledge of technology and office software, as well as POS / reservation systems
