About you

• You are flexible and open, with an energetic and team-focused approach, as this department gets very busy!
• You have experience producing and presenting the highest quality food for hungry customers, preferably in a high volume food production environment e.g. pub, RSL, convention centre.
• You demonstrate passion and commitment to food, its quality and presentation.
• You have Food Handling certifications and/or experience working with HACCP standards highly regarded.
• You are fast on your feet, capable of managing a diverse and heavy workload, in a fast-paced environment.
• You will have availability to work 3 in 4 weekends, as well as late evenings and during the week
• You take pride in how you serve our range to customers and want to give them a tasty reason to return again and again!

About the job

Currently we have several permanent part-time positions available for experienced line cooks who take pride in the service and product they deliver.  As an IKEA Food Co-worker in our Kitchen Production Team, a key part of your role is to prepare and serve delicious and nutritious food, including our world famous meatballs, to both our customers and co-workers.  

About the assignment

• Complying with IKEA Quality and Food Safety Standards, producing and dating food according to specifications complying with HACCP standards.
• Ensuring the IKEA co-worker restaurant range is appealing and nutritious.
• Ensuring customers are always in focus and striving to make them smile, by providing an irresistible food offering and always aiming to be an ambassador for the store.
• Ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, tidy, attractive and inviting. You also ensure products are in perfect condition and correctly priced at all times.
• Actively learn about the products we sell, about their content, origin and other benefits. You share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
• Understand and contribute to your department’s action plans, and support the goals and targets set by your manager, taking action to ensure safety at all times.
• Ensure efficiency and good operations following daily operational routines as set by your manager.
