Villa Del Sole is a 52 bed aged care facility which caters to the needs of the elderly Italian community. The cook will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Food Safety Program and the provision of a variety of quality Italian casalinga style food and beverages to meet residents' individual and cultural needs and preferences.
Main duties will include cooking, presentation, and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program (FSP), monitoring and recording requirements of the FSP for example, recording temperatures, cleaning schedule completion, receiving of goods, reports and assists in the follow up of customer complaints and tell us about it via QIF forms.
The successful applicant must have
- some cooking experience,
- a driver's licence,
- a current police check, and
- have or be willing to obtain a certificate in food safety, infection control and manual handling.
Italian speakers and those who hold a certificate in food safety supervising or commercial cookery or similar are preferred.
