Alliance Catering is seeking a energetic & dynamic, hands on Chef to work within our team at a prestigious residential schools in Caulfield area, along with functions.
We are looking for a chef with flair and creativity, a passion for fantastic food and a willingness to work in a positive team environment.
Reporting directly to the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day preparation and presentation of the residential boarding house meal along with assisting with events when required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
- Day to day production of all kitchen requirements.
- High volume production of contemporary food approximately 100 students
- Ensuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativity
- Assisting Chef Manager with ordering and replenishing stock
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Proven and successful background working in a commercial kitchen
- A focus on providing excellent contemporary food!
- Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplines
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable grooming standards
- Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
- Computer literate
