Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position is an integral part of the Global Sales Office (GSO) and is responsible for achieving the GSO sales budget in corporate segment.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to demonstrate your sales ability and mature business acumen, with a dedicated focus on achieving sales and marketing budget in corporate segment.  
 
Duties & Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

The Langham Sydney

  • Achieve the hotel's Corporate FIT segment budget revenue and Corporate Meetings segment budget revenue
  • Assist with budget submission and provide input into CAPEX planning as directed by Supervisor
  • Effectively measure and report on a timely basis, the sales results with updated strategies inclusive of competitor information
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director of Sales - Corporate to achieve overall set deliverables
  • Act as hotel sales contact for clients and customers;
  • Service all incoming inquiries within internal protocol established and on-time
  • Actively quote and convert all corporate meetings inquiries in line with budget revenue
  • Establish regular sales visits and call pattern for meeting with principles of target markets, including site inspections, entertainment etc.;
  • Actively source new accounts and develop existing relationships to meet the yield objective of hotel in Corporate segment
  • When appropriate, submit sales leads within LHG network to support PIPELINE programme
  • Provide sales leadership to other team members, when appropriate
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by management

Global Sales Office - Australia

  • Achieve GSO Corporate FIT segment target which is set by account by hotel
  • Achieve GSO Corporate Meetings segment target
  • Achieve GSO contracted global TMC partnerships target
  • Participate in strategies and direct sales efforts in LHG's Corporate Volume Accounts based out of Australia
  • Facilitate RFP processes for LHG globally Managed Accounts.
  • UtilizeHotelligence to target prospect accounts; set acquisition strategies and  monitor consistent usage by field of this tool
  • Manage all global TMC non-contracted revenue generation
  • Complete overall account strategy plan and monthly action plans for all managed accounts
  • Compile GSO Sydney Weekly Flash report to all LHG entities showcasing productivity in Corporate FIT & Group segment
  • Compile GSO NA Big 5 plan with quarterly updates to ensure all activities are measured via the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reasonable, Timely) metric
  • Overall sales activities management in region including sales missions, sales blitzes, tradeshows, organize sales trips for hotels and undertake sales trips to key feeder markets in the region as required
  • Work with other industry partners (airlines, etc.) to support business objectives
  • Manage own portfolio of key accounts as required and entertain key contacts of existing and potential accounts
  • Maximize opportunities with familiarization trips and site inspections arrangement

Skills & Experience

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Must Have at least 2 years of working experience in a luxury hotel or global sales environment or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • A team player who focuses on organizational success and always with entrepreneurial approach on business development
  • Exposure to industry & networking that require high service standard
  • Good communicator to inculcate best practices and innovative ideas
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills to win business and to sustain continuous growth
  • Deliver quality business writing and correspondence
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate effectively with all level of colleagues
  • Self-starter with hands-on approach. Innovative, pragmatic and accommodating to foster team dynamics in a fast moving environment
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Awareness and sensitivity to the concept of luxury and quality
  • Able to link the value of colleagues, external guests and business result
  • Ability to align business objectives with organizational development strategies
  • Sound knowledge of MS office, Opera PMS and Delphi

Physical demands - This position is both sedentary and based 'on the road'. International and domestic travel will be required on occasion.
