Cater Care are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to work Part Time at an Aged Care facility in Turramurra.

The key to our success is our people and your role in this environment is to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to our valued residents.

Reporting to the Chef Manager you will be responsible for setting up/clearing dining room, platting up meals, setting up trays and trolleys and the delivery of fresh cooked meals from the kitchen to dining areas and resident rooms within the facility.

Please note: successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police Clearance before commencing

Roster: Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 3.00pm

Salary: $20.22 p/hour

Conveniently located across from Turramurra train station

Key Responsibilities:

Basic food preparation, platting up meals, setting trays/trolleys and serving in dining rooms
Delivery of special diets and diet requirements including allergies/intolerance, supplements and texture modified soft & purees
Setting up and cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas including extensive dishwashing
Compliance to food safety hygiene and food handling/preparation procedures
Ability to work in busy, fast paced and physically demanding kitchen environments

Key Attributes required:

Previous experience within Aged Care food service or working with vulnerable persons
Good customer service, strong communication skills, ability to read and follow directions
Food handling Certificate or equivalent experience
Ability to work independently, yet as part of a team

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role working in Aged Care, Health or hospitals, be well presented and self-motivated with a strong focus on customer care.
