We are currently seeking the services of an experienced and dedicated Duty Manager to join our small and friendly Front Office Team on a full time basis.

The Comfort Inn Bel Eyre Perth is a busy, well known Motel situated close to the Airport in Belmont, Perth. We have provided quality service to our guests since 1989.

The Motel facilities currently include a 50 Serviced Room Complex and Bistro with TAB and bottle-shop facilities. We will soon be transitioning to our new 214 Room Hotel facility with Restaurant, Cafe, Bar and Conferencing Facilities, which is due to open in late 2018.

The Duty Manager will be responsible for the Guest relations duties throughout the lobby, front desk area, and the rest of the hotel. This involves assistance, direct supervision and leadership of front line staff, dealing with guest complaints, guest relations, and responding to emergency situations, as well as performing other tasks associated with the operation.

The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maximise daily revenue by actively promoting selling and up-selling of accommodation and packages
  • Develop and motivate the Front Office team alongside the Front Office Manager
  • Act as a role model for the Front Office team
  • Resolve guest complaints and challenges
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests, being proactive and resourceful
  • Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using Opera
  • General front office administration duties including corresponding to guest reviews on OTA's and social networks

To be successful in this position you will require to have the following attributes:

  • Have experience in a similar role within a 3.5 to 4-star hotel environment
  • Be available to work across a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, late evenings and nights
  • Have an approach to guest service that is second to none
  • Have exceptional customer service skills, communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Previous experience with a property management & point of sales system. Preferably Opera and Symphony.
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy
  • Attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting processes
  • Possess a strong background knowledge in both Front Office and Reservations
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence
