Pentolina has just opened in Little Collins Street and is set to become Melbourne CBD's new shrine to fresh pasta and Italian homestyle cooking.
We are looking for a passionate Head Chef to lead our team through an exciting growth period. This is a great opportunity to make your mark on the Melbourne CBD dining scene by bringing a fresh contemporary edge to simple, honest Italian food.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As Head Chef you`ll be responsible for:
- Menu development, improvements and creation
- Training, coaching and supporting the team
- Food safety program requirements
- Food quality and standards
- Food costs and stock takes
- Staff rosters
- Managing cost of goods and staff budgets
Skills and experience
The Head Chef will need the following skills and qualifications:
- Food Safety Supervisor qualifications
- Experience as a senior sous chef or a head chef
- Great training skills and an attitude that will invest in the development of the team
- Experience across Italian cooking, especially fresh pasta
- Experience in a fast paced, casual dining restaurant
