About the Business

This hotel is an iconic venue renowned for its amazing offers, spacious layout and  design and superb food and beverage offering. We are now looking for a Sous Chef to help create and lead a team of passionate chefs. This is a busy venue, and extremely food focused so we are looking for a Chef who is looking to be challenged, both creatively and operationally. 
As the Sous Chef you will work very closely with head chef and senior management to help design and create a food concept that people crave. You will be a team player who has excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on providing quality leadership to your team whilst delivering a high quality, consistent product.

 

Your Job

- Ensure the Kitchen is maintained to sanitation and cleaning standards

- Communicate clearly with all staff to ensure effective kitchen operations

- Assist in formulating, implementing and executing seasonal menus to suit venue requirements

- Assist in product ordering, stock control and waste measures to maintain food costings

- Maintaining food quality and presentation during operation periods

 

Must Have's

- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a high volume fast paced kitchen with a flexible menu

- Be highly motivated and organised to work independently or as part of a team

- Be able to work under pressure in a professional and polite manner whilst maintaining consistency and quality

- Must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy, with a strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills

- Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
