About the role

Be responsible for Events Sales, converting the sales from pipeline to confirmed events across the Dedes Group portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Overall responsibility for the booking of all events including weddings, corporate bookings, product launches, conferences, christenings and other private functions. 
  • Meet and greet prospective clients, introducing the venue, quoting, generating proposals and making bookings.
  • Handover effectively to coordination team and assist FOH with the preparation of all events.
  • Prepare function schedules through Tripleseat as required, hand over to the lead coordinator full operational aspect of the event.
  • Provide thorough handover of event notes to FOH and BOH to enable the smooth running of each event.
  • Suggest areas of improvement within the venue where you see any inadequacy by way of service or food.
  • Increase sales at all opportunities through customer service and provide feedback to the General Manager on customer likes/dislikes to assist with marketing and trends.
  • General administration duties related to events including deposits and Tripleseat invoices.
  • Actively encourage feedback from all clients and manage conflicts in the appropriate manner.
  • Assist the Management team in ensuring that the venue is presentable as a showcase at all times.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales role.
