The Role
Your role will require you to work closely with and in support of the Head Chef.
You will be responsible for the kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef and assisting him during peak service times.
This is a partnership where your input is appreciated and respected.
Working daily with fresh fish, prime cut meats, house made pasta & breads, you will ensure that our highest standards of quality and consistency of food exiting the kitchen is maintained.
Recently featured as 'Old Gold' in the Weekend lift-out of the Sunday Herald Sun, Vivace Restaurant has an enduring reputation for providing the best Italian food and service available in suburban Melbourne. We offer intimate a la carte dining and fantastic function spaces to our clients with a unique personal touch.
Our happy team of chefs and front of house staff enjoy great working conditions which is why many have stayed working with us longer than the industry norm.
All food is authentic and made in house, so we are looking for candidates with an Italian cooking background or higher end dining. The right person must prove to be stable, reliable and show a desire to stay in the role and settle in for long term.
You will have a proven background and possess the following:
- Two to three years experience at a high end restaurant
- Able to work in different sections in the kitchen
- Ability to work under pressure
- Creative and passionate about food
- Consistent and focused
- Great team player
- Attention to detail
