About the role
Tooleybuc Sporting Club is a family friendly club situated on the Murray River in the heart of Tooleybuc, approximately 30 minutes from Swan Hill, Balranald and Boundary Bend.
The Sporting Club boasts full TAB, Keno and Gaming, a 9 hole golf coarse, bowling greens, mini golf, tennis court and has recently become an RV friendly operation.
The Tooleybuc Sporting Club requires an experienced Head Chef, or a Chef prepared to take the next step in their career to lead our catering department which services the Redgum Bistro for lunch and dinner 7 days a week plus group functions within the club.
The position
Reporting to the Club Manager, main duties include:
- Supervision of kitchen staff as well as hands on food preparation and maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Stock ordering and liaising with suppliers.
- Liaising with the manager re functions, and sporting clubs catering requirements.
- Presents an opportunity to add your own touch with Chef's suggestions to our standard menu.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Current Food Handling and Safety Certificates are essential
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a team in high pressure situations
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to think on your feet and resolve problems
- Experience in an equivalent role will be looked upon favourably
