The opportunity:

As the Front Office and Events Manager of Spicers Balfour Hotel, you will be a hands-on leader who delights in providing guests with bespoke experiences. Engaging and driving your team to ensure seamless operations will be integral to delivering an exceptional guest experience – each and every time. 

Reporting to the General Manager of Spicers Balfour Hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring the property, conferences and events are delivered consistently and to a high standard; rostering; and business reporting. There is also an expectation for this role to act as a Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager. In addition, you will be professional, charismatic and absolutely guest-focused with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships. Working in conjunction with our Head Office Sales team, you will be experienced in maximising sales by way of encouraging and recommending the array of additional facilities and services at our property.

To be considered for this role, you will also have:

  • Front Office experience is a must;
  • Hands-on experience at a luxury property;
  • A passion for good food and wine and providing bespoke experiences for guests;
  • Good business acumen;
  • Functions and Events experience desirable;
  • Team management experience – the ability to drive and manage performance;
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize your workload
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
  • A proactive approach and positive attitude;
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required;
  • A current RSA;
