We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at the newly refurbished Buena – a landmark hotel situated in the suburb of Mosman. Our ideal candidate has worked in high volume venues and is comfortable managing a multi-faceted business whilst on shift where food plays an integral part of the venue's offerings. We value personality, commitment and a can do attitude as the keys to success.
The Role:
- Managing the overall operations of the business whilst of shift
- Leading and managing a team
- Regular coaching, training and mentoring of staff to improve them and service standards
- Cost control with a focus on labour
- Ensuring the team is delivering excellent customer service
- Adherence & reporting to compliance and legislative matters
- Entertainment, Lighting and Atmosphere
- Continuous improvement in operations and service
About you:
- Strong leadership skills
- An ability to think outside the square
- Proven experience working in a multi-faceted business
- An understanding and appreciation of gaming
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of current liquor legislation
- Hands on approach with a natural ability to lead a team to be the best they can
