About the opportunity  

The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing supervision of the business unit and the ongoing coaching and training of staff at Forum Restaurant with a strong focus on exceeding customer expectations. The Supervisor will be required to ensure:
  • Superior workplace management in ensuring the restaurant is well presented, compliant with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements and all appropriate cash handling and weekly paperwork requirements are met
  • Staff supervision by providing continual leadership, development and motivation of team members including customer service training as per the training matrix
  • Service management in accordance with the review and assurance of food, beverage, and restaurant goods care
  • Service improvements by being proactive in recommending areas of improvement and change to the Manager when required

About you

  • 2+ years’ previous management experience in a high paced café / restaurant environment
  • 2+ years’ experience working with commercial coffee machines in a high volume environment (using at least 10kgs of beans per day)
  • 1+ years’ of previous demonstrated supervisory experience of at least 5 staff
  • The ability to make great coffee and help others to improve their coffee skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff to achieve set training and development needs
  • Demonstrated understanding of excellent customer service and high level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills/experience in using a complex point of sale system
  • Understanding of HACCP procedures or food safety programs


Qualifications and/or Certifications are required for the successful candidate: 
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) photo card and certification
