Nestled in the heart of the city centre, ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments is surrounded by Melbourne's best shopping, restaurants and city sights.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your primary responsibility is ensuring a high level of guest service at all times across the hotel.

We are looking for a natural and engaging leader who is truly guest-obsessed with a passion for delivering service from the heart.

THE MISSION

The Assistant Manager role requires a flexible, can-do approach. You will be the ultimate story-spotter who not only engages our guests, but seeks out any opportunity to surprise with a unique service moment.

You will take ownership of your shift and will ensure the health and safety of our guests and team members.

You will lead by example to proactively respond to guest requests; providing coaching and guidance to team members on shift.

You will embody the Heart and Art of Human Connection.

THE PERSON

• Flexible to work a full-time rotating roster including late nights, weekends and public holidays
  
• Proficient user of MS Office programs and experience with Opera PMS
  
• Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  
• Engaging and proactive with proven leadership experience
  
• Full working rights in Australia.
