Sodexo are seeking a qualified Head Chef to join our team on a 2&1, FIFO from Perth to one of our remote mine sites in the Pilbara, WA.
About the Role:
As Head Chef you will be the backbone to the kitchen, leading by example and providing your team with hands on support and guidance to ensure the kitchen is running efficiently and maintaining a high standard of delivery. This is a permanent opportunity on a 2:1 roster.
Your role will include but is not limited to hands-on service for bulk and or buffet style cooking for breakfast, Dinner, pastries, crib and on occasions organising functions. Liaising with Sodexo internally to organise supplies and food produce requirements for your site.
You will ensure the kitchen continues to follow safe work practices, food safety guidelines and monitoring food wastage. It is imperative you understand how to adapt to busy periods ie. Shutdowns and how to prepare your kitchen and support your team to maintain high standards of service are delivered.
Allow your passion for cooking to shine through the meals you prepare for our clients and fellow staff members. Cleanliness and professional presentation and communication is extremely vital at all times.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be experienced and certified, ideally within remote sites or previous bulk cooking environments; within a head chef role.
We are looking for a head chef that can lead by example, be approachable and capable of adapting to the variation of a busy mine site. Taking pride and responsibility in your role is greatly admired and is a quality we would love to see in our leaders.
The position will suit a well organised and self-motivated individual who is able to listen to customer needs and provide expert service and communicate in a friendly manner, providing service with a smile.
