You will require prior experience, motivation, enthusiasm & a great passion for the hospitality industry to join the team at the hotel in the beautiful Kimberley region.
HEAD HOUSEKEEPER:
Full-time position/Accommodation & Meals provided as part of the salary package.
You will be responsible for the direction of the housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of hotel rooms plus be responsible for the training & motivation of your team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Establishes and maintains standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff
• Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment
• Submits recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space
• Periodically inventories supplies and equipment
• Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods
• Prepares staff rosters
• Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
• Assigns workers their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
• Advises reception/front office of rooms ready for occupancy
• Inventories and re-orders stock to ensure adequate supplies
• Conducts orientation training of new employees to explain company policies, housekeeping work procedures, Occupational Health and Safety and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
• Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
