Today's funeral director is a dynamic person with a multitude of skills and experience. They are great at dealing with people, creative and they can plan and organise a variety of events, they have the skills and originality to produce a range of audio visual and printed materials, all this within tight timeframes. 

They are disciplined and competent administrators who can work autonomously within the parameters of the operations. They value personal development and work well within a supportive team environment.

The funeral industry is one of the most rewarding event-based industries that you can work in. A funeral is a very important life event that needs to be highly personalised, organised and it must be perfect.

Grace Funerals and Blue Mountains Funerals are a family run funeral firm and we are currently looking for an operations manager. Our head office is based in Emu Plains and we run funerals all over Sydney and into the Blue Mountains.

The successful applicant will have extensive and recent experience, gained at a managerial level within either the funeral industry or another like-minded industry such as events, hospitality or similar.  

The Operations Manager will have a high level of autonomy focussing on the key responsibilities

  • Coordinating funeral services
  • People scheduling
  • Running operational systems
  • Fleet & Asset management
  • Training the team
  • Arranging and Conducting Funeral Services
  • Designing and implementing processes and process change
  • PR related activities in line with your personal interests and business needs
