Star Director of Sales & Marketing

Located in the thriving Sydney Airport Precinct, we are searching for a charismatic Sales & Marketing professional with a strategic focus to lead and inspire our Sales & Marketing  team (including reservations) and partner with the hotel leadership team as the hotel continues on its transformative road to becoming an exciting lifestyle and events hotel. 

With a multi million dollar hotel refurbishment about to commence you will be instrumental in the implementation and execution of the hotel & food & beverage launch. This is a role proven for high performers wanting to embed their superior performance in a changing market landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the General Manager, Hotel Owners and brand specialists in launching the new hotel product, meeting and food & beverage venues.
  • Develop, sustain, maximise yield and grow business from all target market segments to meet the budgeted revenue
  • Manage strong relationships with senior decision makers from key PCO’s, corporate accounts and travel agents
  • Set and review sales strategy for business development, reservations sales, and conference and catering sales
  • Develop, implement and monitor sales and marketing campaigns
  • Activate the digital and social solution for the hotel and the food & beverage outlets
  • Set tactics and activate the Business Unit's annual budget
  • Strong financial literacy and ability to meet financial expectations of the department & hotel
  • High emphasis on overhauling and redeveloping market mix in line with the new product
  • Team mentoring & development
  • Manage and activate source fully client feedback in order to gain a win/win solution
  • Liaise with Head Office on relevant initiatives

To be successful:

  • You are results driven with the emphasis on collective team performance and development
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in a similar role with similar complexities
  • Demonstrated experience in a recognised hotel brand at 4 to 5 star product and service levels
  • You are relentlessly focussed on the hotel and team performance, working efficiently and professionally
