The opportunity:

We have a range of opportunities for Chefs at Spicers Guest House. We are seeking new Team Members for the following roles:

• Chef de Partie – Full Time
• Commis Chef – Full Time
• Breakfast Chef – Full Time & Part Time
• Kitchenhand – Part Time
• Apprentice

Reporting to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, you will be part of a passionate and highly skilled team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests, whilst growing your career in an inspiring environment. Through supporting the Executive Chef to develop creative and contemporary menus and assist with the kitchen operations.

To be considered for this role, you will also have:

• Experience working in a similar establishment (fine dining, a la carte, hatted restaurant), Modern Italian cuisine highly regarded;
• Relevant qualifications;
• A passion for cooking and an interest in keeping abreast of latest trends and innovations;
• An emphasis on quality and pride in your work;
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
• A proactive approach and positive attitude;
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required;
• .… and most importantly, a genuine passion for ‘everything hospitality’ – good food, great wine and awesome experiences!

Spicers Guest House, is our impeccable new property to join the Spicers family. It has been an important destination within the Hunter Valley region for nearly 35 years. Over that time both locals and guests have created fond memories of their experiences there. The 18-month renovation of the property aligns it with the quintessentially Australian and relaxed luxury experience of Spicers Retreats. While the upgrade will reflect a fresh contemporary facelift, the comfortable and welcoming spirit of the original Guest House will be preserved.
